Tapioca is a type of crepe created by Brazilian indigenous people a long time ago. This delicious Brazilian delicacy did not take long to be discovered by Portuguese colonizers in the 16th century, in Pernambuco, being adopted as a bread subsitute.

In indigenous language Tupi, Mani Tapioca® means:
MANI = Cassava
TAPI = Bread and OCA = House

 

Preparation method:
Add 3 tablespoons (20g) of Maní Tapioca in a small frying pan and spread evenly until it covers the entire bottom. Cook over low heat for 1 minuteor until it looks like a "pancake". Flip it and cook the same time on the other side. Then, flip it again. Add the filling of your choice, fold it in half and remove from heat. Laet it cool down a little and take a nice bite!
